10 years old.
This past Sunday, the English Worship Service at the Korean Church of Knoxville turned 10 years old. A decade. For the glory of God.
In 2008, God gave Deacon Heejin Lim a vision for having an English Worship Service at the Korean Church of Knoxville where the 2nd generation could praise and worship God in their language of English. I love the words that she has written about that time. Listen to her.
"It was all about our prayer. When I started talking to adults (Koreans, Korean-Americans, Americans) EVERYONE except one elder was pessimistic saying, KCK will NEVER let you have an English worship service (for many reasons). WITHOUT KNOWING HOW, WE JUST PRAYED AND PRAYED. Surprisingly God showed a way faithfully, moved our Korean pastor's heart and allowed us to start. People I talked with said that it won't happen at least within 10 years; it happened 2 months after I initiated my conversation with the pastor."
People said that it won't happen at least within 10 years. This past Sunday it turned 10 years old.
God.
Heart is quiet.
Without knowing how, we just prayed and prayed.
Camp out in that for awhile Damon.
The grace, power and mystery of God is present here.
Savor. Shhhhhhhhh. Savor.
Healing. Forgiving. Restoring.
There's more.
