Channel TEN!
God's TV channel is channel TEN. I say that with such authority like that's really real. Like if you turn your Xfinity box to channel 10, God will be speaking to you there! Wait a minute. X-finity. X is the greek "Chi" which is an abbreviation for Christ! Are you telling me that my cable company....easy now, Damon. Simmer down. Just explain your nifty little idea. Ok.
I've made up a new network in my mind. It's channel TEN. TEN....The Ever Network. This idea came to me as I read the bible book of Psalm, chapter 115 and verse 3. "Our God is in heaven; He does whatever pleases Him." Hmmmmmm. Whatever. Then, this is what began to form in me. God does whatEVER, with whatEVER, with whomEVER, whereEVER, howEVER, whyEVER, whenEVER He wants to forEVER. The EVER Network. It's God's. Channel TEN.
As someone reads the words from Psalm 115:3 they might think...."Hmmm. Well who does He think He is? That's pretty arrogant. Who does He think He is telling me what He's gonna do and not do in my life?" Pretty gutsy. And at times, if I'm honest, pretty accurate, in times when I'm in pain. And then He helps me remember. Am I omnipotent (all powerful)? Nope. Am I omniscient (all knowing)? Nope. Am I omnipresent (present everywhere simultaneous)? Nope. And you know what, from a place of God-given humility....I don't really want to be any of those things. I'm not equipped for it. I am being equipped though to be dependent on the one who is all of those things.
So as usual, let's ask the question, "Is this really real?" (Not is channel TEN really real, but you know, this idea, smiley face)! So check it out.

This is good news as we watch and wait in Advent. My life is not dependent on my "Network". It's dependent on His. The EVER Network. Channel TEN.
